Moving from Pic-Time to Showpiece

Pic-Time keeps your originals and offers photographer-side downloads per gallery. Local originals, if you have them organized, remain the fastest path — the export below is for when the platform is the only copy.

Part 1 — Get your data out of Pic-Time

  1. 1

    Open the gallery's download options

In your Pic-Time dashboard, open the gallery and look for the download action in the gallery menu (⋯ / actions). Choose the original-resolution download for the entire gallery.

  2. 2

Grab the zip from the email link

Pic-Time processes the archive and sends a download link — large galleries may arrive as several zips.

  3. 3

    Repeat per gallery, newest first

If a gallery is in a store-only state, temporarily re-enable downloads in its settings so the owner download is available.

Good to know: If you sold through Pic-Time's store, screenshot or export your price sheets before leaving — you'll want them when setting prices in the Showpiece print store.

Part 2 — Bring it into Showpiece

  1. 1

    Organize into one folder

Unzip everything into a single parent folder on your computer, with one subfolder per gallery (most exports already arrive this way). Subfolder names become your album names, so rename them now if you want tidier titles.

  2. 2

    Run the Showpiece importer

Log into Showpiece and open showpiece.studio/import. Click the picker, select the PARENT folder, and let it run — each subfolder becomes an album, full-resolution originals upload with automatic retries, and web previews generate as they land. Big libraries take a while (it's your upload speed, not us); keep the tab open and it will tell you if anything needs retrying.

  3. 3

    Bring your client list

On showpiece.studio/clients, use Import CSV. Name, email, phone, and notes columns are detected automatically and your people land in the CRM, deduplicated.

  4. 4

    Verify, then flip the switch

Spot-check a few albums (counts and full-res downloads), publish your portfolio, set your services and availability, connect Stripe — and only then cancel the old subscription. Overlap for a billing cycle if you want a safety net; your old account stays untouched by any of this.

Export contacts from Pic-Time's client/CRM area if your plan includes it (look for a CSV export); otherwise a simple spreadsheet of names + emails does the job.

Rather not do this alone?

Founding members get white-glove migration — a 15-minute screen-share where we drive, your files never leave your hands, and you end the call with your galleries live.

Platform interfaces change — steps reflect Pic-Time as of July 2026. If a menu has moved, their help center's "download" or "export" article will have the current path. Pic-Time is a trademark of its owner; no affiliation.
